Craig Jones
Managing Partner
Craig Jones is a veteran of the venture capital and private equity industries and runs the private equity firm TPE Boulder. He has invested extensively in software, healthcare, and business services companies, leading investments in over 75 companies. He has served as Chairman of Board of many companies, including the highly successful healthcare company, National Research Institute. He is a member of the Board of several of TPE Boulder portfolio companies. Mr. Jones is a past member of the Board of Directors of the National Venture Capital Association and was the founding Chairman of a charter school which has over 2,000 graduates. He lives in Boulder, Colorado with his family.
James E. Vandervelden
Partner
Mr. Vandervelden co-founded TPE Boulder in 2010 and has over 25 years of venture capital and private equity industry tenure. Mr. Vandervelden focuses on healthcare deal origination. Prior to TPE Boulder, he worked with Craig Jones at Ticonderoga Capital and Dillon Read & Co.’s venture capital group making growth capital investments for its fund. He worked previously with TA Associates. Prior to TA Associates, he was employed by APM Inc., where he specialized in strategic and operational consulting to hospitals and academic medical centers in the United States and Canada. Mr. Vandervelden received a B.A. in Economics and Organizational Behavior & Management, with Honors, from Brown University.
Lydia Jones
Associate
Lydia Jones is an Associate at TPE Boulder. She began working with TPE Boulder as an undergraduate studying at the Leeds School of Business at CU. She joined the team on a permanent basis in October 2023 and became a full-time member of the team beginning summer 2024. She has been a key team member on investments in Southeast X-Ray, US Migraine, and Growth99. Lydia graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder in 2020 with a BA in Environmental Studies with minors in Business, Spanish, and Geography. Lydia enjoys outdoor sports and traveling in her free time.

Bonny Jaswal
SPES- Fund Management
Bonny is a member of Spectrum Private Equity Services (SPES) founding team and has extensive experience working with private equity and private equity real estate partnerships. She has worked in the venture capital and private equity industry since 2003 starting with Weston Presidio Capital, a Boston-based private equity firm for 10 years prior to transitioning to fund administration and providing outsourced services customized to meeting the needs of clients. She holds a BS in Materials Management from Bridgewater State University and a Certificate of Accounting from Bentley University.
Stephanie Baron
SPES -Fund Management
Stephanie is a member of Spectrum’s founding team and has extensive experience working with private equity firms and their management companies. She provides accounting and reporting services for TPE Boulder management company and works closely with Bonny on TPE Boulder funds. Before joining Spectrum, she worked at another fund administration firm for 5 years. Stephanie’s experience also includes being the Controller at BayNorth Capital, a Boston-based real estate investment firm, Controller at TA Associates, and Audit and Tax Senior with Deloitte and Touche. Stephanie earned her BS in Accounting from St. Michael’s College and is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive).

Robert M. Hannon
Former VP of Finance
Mr. Hannon has over 26 years of private equity and venture capital industry experience with particular emphasis on financial analysis and reporting both for funds and portfolio companies. He co-founded TPE Boulder in 2010. He previously worked with Craig Jones at Ticonderoga Capital in starting in 1998. He was responsible for financial reporting, control and administrative functions for TPE Boulder for 12 years, he is now a valued member of TPE’s Board of Advisors. Prior to joining Ticonderoga Capital, Mr. Hannon was Treasurer at Town & Country Corporation, a manufacturing and marketing company with sales of $450 million and operations in the USA and the Far East. Previously, Mr. Hannon held corporate finance positions at Data General Corporation, Ford Motor Company, and Leesona Corporation. Mr. Hannon received a B.A. in Economics from Harvard College and an M.B.A. in Finance from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
Samuel L. Tasher, Esq.
Legal
Samuel Tasher is an experienced attorney with a unique set of skills—he has a wealth of litigation and transactional experience that he brings to the table. Samuel serves as the Managing Director of Wyatt Partners, where he provides advice and counsel on litigation and transactional management to major corporations, government entities, and high-net-worth individuals around the world such as Appian, Benihana of Tokyo, Honeywell International, the Howard Hughes Corporation, Limber, Ultimate Kronos Group, the United States Department of Justice, the United States Postal Service, and X Corp.1
Samuel has also served as Counsel or General Counsel to private equity funds or their portfolio companies, managing their legal affairs and providing strategic advice and counsel on casualty matters, corporate governance, corporate investigations, equity finance, litigation, mergers and acquisitions, as well as post-closing asset management and disposal.
Samuel is also a frequent lecturer on legal ethics, attorneys’ fees, and litigation settlements. Samuel received his A.B. (cum laude), J.D., and LL.M. from Duke University. Samuel is licensed to practice law in New York, New Jersey, the District of Columbia, and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. Sam is a valued member of TPE Boulder’s Board of Advisors.
Jon A. Fredrickson
Tech Sales Management
Jon Fredrickson is an experienced sales executive both directly selling and building successful sales organizations for technology companies. Jon worked for Craig Jones at Innocentive for 6 years. He is one of a small handful of people in the world with deep government and enterprise level experience in implementing, designing, and deploying Open Innovation capabilities in some of the largest companies and governments around the world. His insights and hands-on experiences have been used by global enterprises, both in the private and public sectors.
He currently utilizes his in- depth knowledge of innovation and technology sales management as a consultant and advisor. He is a member of the Board of Advisors at TPE Boulder.
Jon’s experience spans multiple industries such as; inGlobal Defense/ Security Departments and contractors, government non-defense Agencies, significant work with the US Government Intelligence Community, MedTech, Pharma/BioPharma, Chemicals, CPG, Foods etc. Mr. Fredrickson has been a valued and frequent speaker at global innovation forums at; United Nations in New York and Geneva, The White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, The US EPA’s Visioneering Sessions at the White House, amongst many other accomplished forums.
